Duals ?

Found a vendor that will sell for $750 and install for another $200. What do you guys think of the price and is there any of the dreaded drone with duals? thanks, Doc

I am not sure what the drone is. I put duals on this weekend, the 4" MBRP turbo back system and it is quiet, almost like the stock, except a hint of rumble down low. It sounds almost like the stock system, on a normal easy, takeoff, but if you hammer it, it comes on like a tractor trailer. I can keep it quiet to about 75 in cruise. That is a little over the 2100 drone zone, but it don't have it at any speed, but it will get loud over that, as you are starting to boost some. But it's not an annoying drone.

Was the MBRP dual exhaust hard to put on? I have a 4" Donaldson that took 30 min. I am opting for the MBRP though because my Donaldson will NOT work w/ a 315 spare.

We have found the MBRP dual systems to have little to no drone, we have been shipping them for almost two years now and the feed back from customers has been excellent. That's not a bad price.



The installation is actually very easy, but the Dodge's must be a 4 x4 for it to fit at all. The distance between the spare and the diff cover won't allow routing the tail pipe for the drivers side behind the diff so it has to go over the drive shaft and you need th extra height of a 4 x 4 to make it work correctly.



All of the MBRP stainless Dodge systems come ith 100% welded T-304 stainelss hangers, that makesinstall so easy because you use the factory rubber hangers just like the OEM system, the only exception is on the duals for the drivers side tail pipe you have to bolt in a hanger in a pre drilled frame hole.

No, the biggest problem was getting rid of the old stocker. That ended with the loan of a sawsall. Installation was pretty straightforward. And the hanger mentioned above is on both sides. Pax and driver. I did have to cut about three fingers width off of the front pipe to make everything line up right.

Excuse the confusion, I read it was a turbo-back kit, then read you had to cut the front pipe. Did you mean the orig pipe, or a new pipe that came with the kit? So how do they exit? $? Pics? Last one. . did your temps go down?-Thanks-

I had to cut both. The old one to get it out, and the new one to make the hangers line up. Only about 3" off of one of the front pipes. Exit in about the stock location, just on both sides now, with nice 5", double walled tips. definitely better than the rolled type. Mine are also slash cut. Don't have a digital cam with me right now. I was told that they look obscene. He he he. EGTs look like they came down about 100* with it. 75mph up a hill at 10psi boost, shows about 625* or a little less.

You cut the factory system to get it off easily, then install the duial system and depending on the body length cut the intermediate piep to fit the correct body length etc. if you will e mail me I will send you a pic of the exits, I can't figure out how to do it on the site, sorry.
