I received this email from Neil. I was on his list from a discussion on May Madness last year with him. He is at -- email address removed --. This is the surviving one of the two trucks used in the Dennis Weaver/Spielberg movie "Duel".



Hello. . Just a heads up here for those may be interested. . Yes the

" Duel truck " is going up for sale. . Due to financial circumstances

beyond my control . . I am going to have to part with it. . So, if you

might be interested ( or know someone else who is ) Sunday

Dang, ya beat me to it! I emailed him a few years ago asking about the old Pete, and just checked my emails a minute ago and got the same one.



It should be a very interesting auction.

I would think that truck would bring more money auctioned off someplace other than Ebay, but that's just me... .

I agree. It will be interesting to see what his reserve is too--whether he really is motivated to sell or is just fishing for a high bidder. Also to see what shape the truck is in after all these years.

Talk about a cool movie remake! They wasted film on that flop 'Dukes of Hazzard', do something cool, but make it modern!
