When you put in Husky front floor liners, what do you do about the plastic hook that kept the carpet mats from sliding around?

I'm concerned about wearing a hole in the Husky Liner if I leave it there.

If you remove it, do you put the screw back in to plug the hole and keep water out?

Why am I worrying about something this silly?

Don't worry abbout it at all. The Husky Liners are moulded to fit over that hook. It acts as a way for them to stay in place. I had some Xtreme Catch All mats in my '98. 5. They don't even compare to the fit and quality of the Husky Liners. They're a GREAT product. Every truck I own will have a set in it.

Oh well, I said it was a dumb question.

I've been out of town & just got back last night. For the first time, I really looked at the Huskys sitting in my garage. Sure enough, they're made to fit over the hook.

I ordered and received the center hump liner while I was gone. Tonight I put them all in the truck. All I can say is "SWEET!".

Thanks for the reply.
