Dumb questions

OK, I admit I've gotten slightly out of date with modern diesel inovations not having been on the website for 3 or more years. So can anyone enlighten me on what a FASS system is and what is the deal with the fuel tank vents? By the way my new rig is a '05 SWB 4x4 auto. Thanks for any replys in advance, J. Johnson
