European's view on politics

Now I've heard it all. Someone blaming the oil companys for the Firestone tire problem because they wanna be coddled and looked after instead of taking responsibility for reading and following the owners manual in their cars. What's next? I forget month after month to check/change my oil and then I blame the car MFG when my engine goes belly up? Yikes, some people... #ad

I thought I detected a little bit of "tongue in keyboard" in that article. the guy (presumably) mentioned "free pressure checks, etc. " Most, if not all the tire places ive been to DO offer this kind of stuff. It's incumbent upon the driver to pull into the parking lot and arrange this, as even the best tire guy can't help if the vehicle remains on the street and never pulls in. . I think he was aiming at the sarcasm factor. (At least I hope he was!) He's probably just as big on personal accountability and responsibility as you or me... . rm

Having read the article, the one thing I can say is "have you heard of Les Schwabs, Perfection tire, Commerical tire" they all offer free air pressure checks, free rotation, free flat repair and free inspection. I don't work for any of the above but I do take advantage of the services. I am sure that there are many other tire businesses which also offer the above services in your area.

I'd have to agree with this article. Its just so gosh darned hard to check tire pressure these days. And to have a professional do it costs an arm and a leg!
