Where are the CTS and ECM located on an 05. I let the manuals go when I sold my 98. I want to wire a switch for the fan and I have Mike Beggy diagram to the switch wiring but need to locate the harness. Help!!!!

Not sure on the CTS, but, the ECU is located on the drivers side front on the block under the IP.

FYI, you can't just wire a switch in on these newer trucks or it will throw codes and disable all kinds of things. You need to put a resistor in line to fool the ECU.

I appreciate your comment, I had planned to use 530 ohm resistor as Mike Beggy used in his 03. I can use all the help I can get.
Thanks Dave Mc

The CTS is near the water neck in front of the valve cover. The 03 CTS is calibrated much different than the 05's.

The ECM software is also changed to utilize the different CTS so the resistor that worked on an 03 will not work correctly on an 05.

You would need to experiment with different resistors untill you find one that will pull the coolant temp to 220. That's best done with a scan tool than can read the actual degrees being fooled to.

Is this what you are wanting to do?
