dunrite converter and transmission

a friend of mine who is not a member has an 06 mega with 10k on it and the auto trans fluid is horribly going black already. he has a downloader box with 37 inch tires and tows a 28 foot toy box 10-12 times a year to the dunes. my question is if anyone has any experience with dunrite transmission. i can't remember exact pricing but i was told under 2k for entire trans with triple converter and valve body. i would be doing the R & R work myself. price sounds great hows their trans? thank you... ... ..... kyle

If it's black than he's may have already done damage to his transmission. My old trailer weight was 14. 5k loaded and the new one is 17k loaded and my transmission temp. has never passed 195 even in summer. My probe is located on the out side of the TC.

Tony form dunrite does not sell a complete valve body he only sells parts to rebuild your valve body. I like his triple disk and valve body. I had a shop that uses his parts to keep the warranty up. If the fluid is back more than likely he has damaged either clutches and or bands in the trans. He needs to have the entire trans tore down and inspected for damage.

ya i understand with the black fluid there is more problems inside. just needed to know if i took him the trans, and had him do the works to her, will it be a tough trans or has anyone got anything they did or did not like about it? i know that we could get many different trans rebuilders to do it but thought since he was close to our area it might be a good hit. thanks for looking and keep up the input... ... ... ... ... ... kyle

Just had a dunrite triple disk and complete valvebody put into my truck, also had the master kit and other small mods done as i smoked some clutches with a downloader. Valve body is 525. 00, triple disk is 1295. 00. Very happy with all that was done, does not shift hard, just firm and positive.
