Been talking to many different shops about converters and V/B just so I make the right desicion before I drop the cash. I have been interested in Dunrite converters and there pretty cool sounding Trans Buddy Kit. Just wondering if anyone was using them or what y'all have heard about them. How well do they work and how much HP's you have been holding with just the converter and V/B.

I had my transmission completely rebuilt last august and had the Dunrite single disc torque converter and trans buddy kit installed at the same time. Its worlds better than stock. I have 10k on it now havent had any problems at all. Last dyno was 366hp/783tq. The single disc is rated at 450hp and the tripple is for more than that.

i dont have a dunrite converter, but i did use one of his transbuddy kits and it worked very good. i highly suggest getting a pres gauge on it right after you do it. i didnt and now im rebuilding clutch packs  . the trans buddy kit isnt hard, but it isnt easy. i would suggest getting one thats already done, and been tested. btw i have a gorends single disc and love it, low stall and smooth power transfer. for the dollar its hard to beat.
