I have had the durabak in white on my truck for about a year now. tough stuff, don't put it anywhere you don't want it to stay FOREVER. Also works good on boats, trailers, etc for a non-slip walking surface. I did have to apply 2-3 coats for a good looking surface.

This sounds like an interesting product. I wonder if it is better than the hurculiner or duplicolor bedliner materials you can buy over the counter. I am curious if the spray gun from duplicolor will work with this stuff? I like the fact that you can get it in smooth and with a UV protectant.

Hopefully more info will come to the surface.

bed liner

I put it on my 95 bed and it was exelent. I now have it in my 05 looks and wears as good as the expensive liners. Can't go wrong for $100 bucks

I'm thinkin about it more and more...

CarlsonR - how is the white holding up appearance-wise? My truck is white and I am thinking about doing the rocker panels with the white/smooth finish, and doing the bed with the textured stuff but I can't decide if I want to do the bed in white or black.

I'm worried about the white absorbing stains, or the black fading to gray... . decisions, decisions... .

I am also looking at the white for the same applications as you.

I searched around google for the product and found some people, mostly offroad jeep, using it on the inside of their jeep tubs. One guy painted a whole Urban gorrilla hummer body with yellow. He said he mixed in some UV protectant clear or something like that. More and more clear on the outside coats. That was 6-7 years ago he said. He said it still faded alittle and he had some shrinking issues on the hood. That could have been something to do with the fiberglass too. I assume that this was the Durabak 18 with the UV protectant in it, but I am not sure.

I read some places about the coating not liking oil and its tendancies to absorb some substances. But it is recoatable if needed. I wish I could get some small amounts of the product to test before I buy it and put it all over my truck.

I have it on my quarter panels behind the tires to prevent rock chipping. Its holding up fine wear wise but will absorb some color from mud or by the exhaust pipe black soot that won't compleatly wash out. seems to be pouous surface with the brew that has the granulated rubber bits in it.

I did the read inside of my old full size cherokee with it. It worked great, but it had TOO much traction. It was too hard to move anything around on. I wish I would have used the smoother finish stuff they make.

It held up fine until I sold it.

Friend put it on a roof rack and nerf bars, it worked great for him.

Needed to apply a few coats to get it all the right thickness though.
