Drove the new Caliber CRD today

As a member and dodge owner I know this site is geared toward the Cummins engine but I need help It seems it takes a cople days before you can post on the Dmax site after you register A friend has a 04 Dmax that has gone into limp mode Another freind has a Genisis scan tool so we all got together The stored code is P1093 Rail presure low dureing power enrichment We set the tool to watch rail presure and went for a drive Under heavy acceleration all of a sudden the rail presure dropped and MIL lit We also noticed that the oil pres on the scan tool shoowed 190psi at idle (dash says 30 to 60) and would drop as rpms increase Trying it again we noticed oil pres would drop to 0psi ,rail pres regulator mV drop to 0 and then rail pres drop MIL lit,and limp mode Are there 2 oil pres sensors? Any help would be great This guys haveing bad luck Last night I pulled the pump off his 89 CTD because it died Thanks Craig
 
I have limped my GMC twice, I just pulled over to the side of the rode, turned the truck off for a minute and started it back up.





I`m no expert, did you check oil level? Does it have any programmers on it? If so disconnect them.



Are you sure that scan tool is accurate, might try it on another truck to check

Your buddy didn't limp the transmission the LLY Duramax fuel rail sensor has been known to raise some issue with some trucks. There are plenty of fixes available today ,I also believe the dealer will address if the truck is stock. There are some power adders that will cause this code to set and put the ECM into low power mode.
