2008 Chrysler T&C Rear Brake Issue

My other passion

We, my friend and I, would like to improve mileage. My friend has an '07 Duramax. What is involved in removing the DPF and modifying the appropriate software? (For off -road use of course) How much lmprovment can we expect and how much will the mod cost? Is this the way to go? Or is there a better way to improve mileage on the Duramax. The Duramax is currently getting about 14 mpg average. Any help will be most appreciated.

Thanks, Mike in Fla.

14 mpg is low for a dmax, is it be due to driving style? If the truck has more than 120 k miles on it you need to get the injectors checked. Low rail pressure raises havoc with those engines.

We have three customers running stock dmaxs and really they don't have a bit of trouble from the dpf. Average mileage is 17-21 per gallon empty for these guys.

For bang for the buck performance most people are happy with the ppe.

As far as any other recommendations I would call Danville Performance. Those guys have forgot more about dmaxs than I'll ever know.
