Doesn't look to bad to work on..... out of the truck.

Good thing they have aluminum heads; makes the engine lighter, thence more easy to pull out to have the injectors replaced or head gaskets redone

;)

What is the story on the motor? Just out of warranty????

The starter is sitting between the Alternator, and air conditioner.

Does anybody else see where the hamster goes to make that motor run?

there's a little 2. 5" hole towards he back of the motor. I think the hamster must have had a cardiac arrest inside, so they had to pull the motor out to remove the "@Hamster inside" (like intel logo)

What's the starter connected to, the cam? Or is that a motor to spin the turbo, seeing as there might not be enough exhaust to spin it. :D

Doc

Maybe this is a spy picture of the 2004 Dmax with an electric blower for a supper charger:confused: What will they think of next?

The GM/Isuzu boys are a pretty crafty bunch.

Is that a chop stick holder or the power steering pump reservoir on the left front side? Uncle Ben would be half proud of that thing.

i knew it was not a 6L Furd b/c it was not sitting in a pool of its own oil. too bad the crankcase on this duraslaxx is filled with its own fuel.

i figured out the difference between the two of the competitions v8 diesels out there: ford 6L engines explode and SUZU engines implode.

This here is just a pile of spaghetti:-laf

you know that saying "if you dont have something nice to say dont say anything at all" my momma never said that applied to v8 diesels... . so its open season:-laf

Well, it could be a pile of spaghetti based on the following. In the Sep 2003 issue of American Rifleman magazine, in the "Getting There" feature, the author, Monte Bush is profiling the 2003 GMC Sierra 2500 Duramax. Here's the quote that leads me to believe that those wires are real:D :"The big Duramax 6600 6. 6-liter V8 has 403 cubic inches of displacement, developing 300 horsepower, and features glow-plug start aid, platinum-tipped spark plugs, low-resistance spark plug wires and direct-injection diesel. "

Maybe we're seeing the spark plug wiresOo. :D ;) :p :) :--)

I recently divorced my Chevy and got a CTD. But even at that I still can't find the blasted spark plugs in my Cummins. Maybe I should give the Cummins engineers what for. Stormrider

I do see a fan and an altenator. Can't be spaghetti... ... . My chromed 12 valve looks soooooo much better. :p :p :-laf :-laf
