To all you electronic engineer types out there. Would it be possible to increase duration by splicing a capacitor into the positive lead on each each of the injector harnesses? I am thinking this would provide a fixed amount of increase in duration (Stock + whatever the value of the capacitor) so the duration could be changed by swapping out different size capacitors. Not sure if I'm on to something or not. Would be cheap if it would work.

What about the voltage "UP" ramp while the cap is charging? I would think this would cause the injector to open later because the voltage will not peak as fast as the cap is charging, but the cap would cause it to close later, in essence retarding the injection timing.

I'm not a real engineer, but I did stay at a holiday inn last night ;)

A capacitor will not extend the duration of a pulse from a solenoid. All a cap will do is keep voltage from fluctuating for a period of time. If the injectors were a 0-5v analog voltage then you could feasibly put some sort of cap on it so that the voltage did not fall as fast, but I do not think that a cap will respond fast enough. You would be suprised at how fast everything works.

Thanks for the response. It came to me last night will contemplating the tone ring mod that this might be a cheap way to increase duration. I then figured that at high RPM the injection pulses would slur together. Oh well. Nothing lost and much gained by asking.

Thanks again.
