my 99 injection pump is going to need replaced soon, wondering what the best aftermarket pump is to install?

heard about the one from industrial injection. would this be a good choice?

also will i need a different lift pump to supply it with fuel or will the stock one work?

Indistrial Injection certainly has a good product and stands behind it. That is who I will go with if (notice I didn't say when) I ever need one. They have 2 choices - the stock VP44 or the Hot Rod VP44. They are offering a 10% off special right now that would put a stock VP44 reman at about $1000.

The stock fuel system is fine as long as it is putting out at least 7psi to the VP44 at WOT. Do you have a guage? If not, get one. I put a Carter 4600 8psi pusher pump from Summit on the frame rail to feed my factory LP and it is still running good after 5+ years and 52,000 miles. I also put on high flow banjo bolts that I picked up from City Diesel.

You can add on a big line kit, put on a FASS, or go with even more $$$ systems like the RASP or a cam+mechanical 12V lift pump. I'm happy with what I've got.

I have a fuel guage on the attitude monitor but for some reason it jumps between 15 and 0 PSI and i don't know why. it usually sits at around 1 to 2 PSI. I checked the installation multiple times and edge doesn't seem to know what to do with it. when checked manually it has 13 PSI at idle.

any suggestions with this

Get a new guage. I personally don't like the do-it-all things - does a little bit of everything but does nothing well.

Besides my triple A pillar pod is cool.

What you can do is tape a mech gauge to the windshield and drive around to see how it reacts. Doesn't help with the Attitude but at least lets you know where your lift pump is at.

That figures :(

I could have used that discount last month when I got my HRVP44 from them.

did you try replacing the sending unit edge gave you? my edge j/a works great. the only piece that i'd consider a potential high failure item is that electrical sending unit mounted right at the vp44... . actually, i'd bet that's it if you haven't already replaced it and maybe even if you've only tried one replacement. lots of threads about sending units failing when mounted right by the vp44.

i can't believe edge wouldn't recommend that.

good luck, jeff

i will give that a try. i got the attitude a day after they were shipped and was on that day. when i asked maybe they hadn't found that problem in their tests and thats why they didn't mention it.
