So I think I am going to be in the market for new ball joints soon. I have 50k on my truck and when I put my new tires on it seemed like there was some excessive play. To be expected I guess. Anyway, I started looking through the threads and it seems like most of you go with either MOOG ball joints or Carli (if you can afford them :-laf). I saw an article that mentioned Dynatrac was releasing ball joints for our trucks but couldnt find much information. Long story longer, I sent them an email asking and here is what i got back:

"Yes, we are about to release our Ford and 94-99 Dodge Pro Steer heavy duty ball joints. Our ’00-08 Dodge version is estimated to release in approx. 3 – 4 months. Cost is $599. 00 for a set of uppers and lowers (both sides). Send me your address and I will mail you our catalog that contains all the details. I will also put your info on our contact list to notify when we begin taking orders. "

Given the positive response to their other products the pricing seems to be very reasonable. Anyone care to speculate if they will be as good a product as the Carli units, or at least an acceptable alternative?

:-laf Nope, not as extreme as the Carli. I have heard they will come with an insert/bushing. That is where they will make their money... ... ... . on rebuild kits. How many times do you want to tear it apart?

No, just photos.

I was not aware of them when I ordered everything to upgrade my front axle.

I ordered the ones from Quad 4x4.

I just received all the Dynatrac parts and pieces to do the inner and outer axles, Dynatrac hubs, etc.

If their balljoints are as well built and designed as what I have received so far, i am thinking of adding them also!!

At least they(Dynatrac) are offering balljoints for our(2nd gen) trucks!!

More than can be said for Carli!!!!!!!!!

If you would like to see some built for the 2nd gen get all your 2nd gen pals together and show some interest ;)

I still have my OEM BJ's on my 94. They last much longer than the 3rd gens.

I see very few people using their 2nd gens like the 3rd gens and that matches where the R&D money is spent
