M-D TDR Wrench Day & Farewell BBQ For Wiredawg Saturday March 15th...

I noticed on the events calender that there is supposed to be a dyno day in Slatington, PA. The info says it will be set up similar to the last one at Kauffman's. I haven't heard anyone talking about it, but hopefully there will be a good turnout. I'm excited about getting on the dyno, and would like to meet some more members.

Does anyone plan on being there?

Chris

Where is Slatington in relation to Wilkes-Barre?? I'll be there to take the wife to see the outlaws and need something to kill the day.

vssman,

Looks like it's about 50 miles south of Wilkes-Barre.

Half way between Harrisburg, PA (90miles) and New York City(95miles).

And about 70 miles NW of Philly.

These mileages are from mapquest, so they should at least be in the ballpark.

Chris

All the info I have on the event, I got from the events calender here on the board. Here is what it says there... (i hope it is okay to cut and paste it here)

Dyno Run...

I have had the info on this for a while now and had decided not to post it and I'll explain. I recieved the info second hand and then contacted the email listing and was sent the same info. No price was quoted on how much the spins were and I had found out one of those doing this had a problem with the TDR and even though he was a member he would not post it(the dyno day)here for the membership. I am not getting into the middle of any quibbles and left it alone as I figured if they wanted us they would post all of it here.

I am also concerned when a statement is made like we will lower the number of pulls to fit all in who show. Those who have traveled to other shows know the amount of trucks that can be spun. Myself and others do not like hidden surprises, especally with some coming in from way out of town. I have brought this up at our recent gathering and got little interest as most guys are not yet ready to spin, those who are may make the trip. The only tid bit of info I was offered was its a new Mustang dyno.

This is NOT a event set up by the Mason-Dixon TDR group nor run by us for those are going... ... ..... Andy

Slightly off topic

Andy,

On a similar note, we need to get with Doug and get a date for a pull event, I am looking forward to rolling some rollers!!

After some minor tweaks Of course

:D

I won't be going, especially for a Mustang dyno. Will wait for a later event at Kauffmans or in October at our Fall Brawl, which is an event sponsored by the Mason Dixon TDR. Enjoy going and like to see Ernie and his boys make some money to offset the cost for all his work.

Fill me in, mustang dyno=bad, dynojet=good? I have only dynoed once before at kauffmans last fall so I am still learning. I was a little uneasy seeing someone else run my truck on the dyno, but after seeing all of you other TDR guys handing over their babies, I was reasured. Now I am not so sure about this event. I was even trying to talk a friend of mine(Non-member) into bringing out his P-pumped 24 valve druged up truck to try and give jetpilot a run for his money!:D

Sounds like you guys would rather wait till kauffmans. Maby I will too.

Kevin

Kevin,

The mustang dyno's have a traction issue with our trucks... . Normally the dynojets do not encounter this problem.

Now as for your friends truck, I saw it at DD this fall and its a nice truck! Try and get him to join the TDR group as we would all love to have hime around. Also be sure your buddy watches out for ol Ted as he is pushing some big HP #'s in his truck.

Don't forget the DHRA races @ MIR on April 26th. I would love to see you and your friend come join in the fun.

gene

what you should have said is the 1750 will hold 550rwhp without a problem. :D but sense they haven't had a high hp truck on one yet we still don't know. maybe we can talk doug into going down and testing it out. becuase it's obvious you don't have the hp to properly test it. :{

i figure were getting close to muncie so we had better start trash talking. :-{} maybe this year you will let me finish closer to your low hp truck.

jim

Dang Jim way to STIR THE POT... ... :-{} STIR THE POT..... :-{}

Looks like there is going to be a dynojet in Muncie this year.

Doug

Are you sure thats what I have?

Maybe, thats all I show in public... ... ... . dern it, who set my wastegate at 42#?

I sort of doubt there will be a west coast truck in the top ten this year.

The 1750 obsoletes the Dyno Jets, they are nice toys, but thats about it.

Come to think of it, a Dyno Jet told poor Jim he had 625+ hp on Diesel, too bad he only showed up at Muncie with 400. Some hp must have fell off the trailer on the road?!?!?!?!:D

Well I think I am going to give this event a try. Besides, We cant let a ford walk away with the trophy for most HP... . ;)

I will let you know how it goes. Anybody else in or did everybody bail?:(

kevin

Kevin,

Good luck at the event. I was still thinking about going, but it doesn't look like it's going to work out for me. I'll probably have to work.

Let us know how things turn out.

Later,

Chris
