Dyno Day New Orleans

There are over 50 trucks that have pre registered including a bunch of new 6. 0 furds. looks like i will be the only 03 Dodge running. if you are interested www.dynoday.com you can sign up. The event is tommorow they can only run 60 trucks and 50 have signed up. I will post back with my results later. last year the highest dodge ram 355hp(that is sad). This year i hope we get some better numbers. I was hoping Mark Kendrick would show up but it sounds like he had some troubles in muncie.



I would like to hear some guesses as to what the trucks will Dyno.



Also what are some ways i can get some better numbers. The reason why is my truck will be stock so the new 6. 0 truck will be chomping at the bits to beat me stock. what can give me an edge. run a hot mixture of additive? take out the air filter? how bad are the 315 tires going to hurt? anything will help.



i guess 03 dodge will Dyno at 255hp, furd 270hp



this dyno seems very accurate. last year it dyno stock furd 190hp chipped furd w/ exhaust K&N 256hp consistant right online where it should have been. my stock 99 CTD 185hp.

I've seen this contest before. A stock H. O. will put out about 10 to 15 more H. P. and better than 70 ft/lbs more torque than a 6. 0.

Most results I've seen show the 6. 0 ahead by a small margin. Not as much the published numbers would inidcate but a small gain nonetheless. What I'd love to see is actual dyno graphs superimposed on each other from various stock trucks so we can see where the power is being made.



Cany we get someone to post these graphs online somewhere?

if their hp is that close together we know who has the most torque and that would make ford a liar. right? false advertising? yes i would say so. you?

Could be that if a 6. 0 actually ran the way it's supposed to they'd be pretty strong. The last one I saw only made 388 lb ft. Thats 77 less than the 03 CTD's made that same day. Dynomite diesel in Monroe Wa. has the graph posted in their lobby.

He laid down 295 rear wheel horsepower. I saw it , it looked like his truck wanted to jump off of the dyno. Or mabye the dyno was just lulled to sleep after my turd made a pull. copterdoc

I lied somewhere on this board i said last year a stock dmax made 250 at the wheels i looked back at the pics of the dyno day it made 234hp. just wanted to set myself straight.



Copterdoc it was nice to meet you, and i made 295. 7 I am sorry you probably would have needed binoc's to be able to tell that... . you know what i am saying. the only reason i know that is b/c that was on the print out they gave me. the dyno day could have been run a little better but i still had a great time. I am in contact with a guy and he is telling me he will have a comp box for an 03 next week. we will see what the 03 will put down with that in the fall. i am guessing it will be around 400-415 at the wheels.
