Lunch April 5th at Famoous Dave's.

bring the smoke to wausau to dyno!!

Well their is a chance that I may actually make it at the last minute. I have a friend that has a 2000 with a Banks system that thinks he may want to go, so if he does I guess I will. My truck is still stock but it would be nice to get a base line to start from.

Here is another ? for you guys, what about bringing a gasser to dyno also, would I be the "black sheep". What I was wondering is if I can dyno my off-road truck that has a 440 in it that should be close to the 500 hp mark.

And as a Chassi dyno newbe so to speak, what are the procedures for the run. What I mean is do you have to run through all the gears and run in a 1:1 gear to take the reading? Reason is that if I run the off-road truck it has 40" tall tires that aren't balanced and I really have no desire to turn them over 100 mph :eek: And I see mensioned earlier that you don't operate your own truck, don't know if I am too crazy about that :(

Yeah, why is that?

Why is it that we dont/cant run our own trucks? Its not like we can "cheat"? Unless it is for insurance or something. Did they tell you anything about that last year Aron?

questions answered?

well, i can answer most questions...

i will pry on jason to let the owners run thier own trucks. the technitians are good but every truck is different and since he ground some gears and over revved some truck i think he will let it slide... it was for insurance reasons.

mopar mudder,

the dyno is a roller jobber, just drive onto it and get strapped down and roll the rollers. yes, the truck has to be gone through the gears to get to 1:1 ratio through the transmission. i dont think you will worry with yours, do you drive it down the road? i will have 35" boggers i will run, if you want i willl let you run them if you want.

campers and cyclers..... ,

i dunno anything in the wausau area. i live a hours drive northwest of there. you could maybe check for something on a wausau visitors webpage if something exists. if not, i think you could get four bike lined up one the dyno and see how much power four people have:p

there will be more soot on the door and walls, i have two smokers to run and the blue cummins/chev has more smoke and a couple more have some smoke too.

directions;

for those from the north or south on HWY 51(I 39), you must take the HWY 29 east exit. follow HWY 29(heading east) a couple miles to the Camp Phillips Road/HWY X exit. take a left turn(heading north) onto HWY X, follow X about a quarter mile till you see EAST JELLINEK and take a right onto it(heading east)follow EAST JELLINEK about a mile and you will see K&S Injection on your left.

for those coming from the west you should be already on HWY 29, follow HWY 29 through wausau and then you will merge onto HWY 51(I 39) just follow HWY 29 EAST until you exit HWY 51, then follow the above directions

for those from the east follow HWY 29,you will hit the exit before you hit town(wausau). exit onto Camp Phillips Road/ HWY X. take a right onto HWY X(heading north)follow X about a quarter mile till you see EAST JELLINEK and take a right onto it(heading east)follow EAST JELLINEK about a mile and you will see K&S Injection on your left.

Thanks for all the info, it is of great help. I figured you had to get to the 1:1 ratio, was afraid of that. I am running 39. 5x18 Boggers and they feel bad enough at 65. So to run up to my 7000 rpm red line that would be turning 140 mph :eek: I wouldn't want to be standing near by. I could get some stock tires and through on it for the run as long as the drive shaft hold in. Maybe I will skip the big truck for now and just bring the dually :{

Thanks Power Grizz for writing down the directions. I've a friend and his buddies that might come up, but I couldn't remember the exit to take. They drive pords so I thought this would be a good chance to get them to sewitch brands.

I'm gonna have to bow outta this one guys. A buddy of mine died earlier this year and we're having a memorial ride this weekend. That and we're going to decide what to do with the club since he was the president. So I won't be there. But I want to see all the pictures and videos at our next meeting.

jtisdale, lotsa luck. You're gonna need it if you don't get that clutch installed. We need to have you guys represent.

See you on the next one.

Mopar_Mudder - This is NOT just a diesel event, you can run a rear wheel drive gas job. I just spoke to Jason and said a few other guys were going to be running some gassers.

Campers, there are a number of county and state campgrounds within 10 - 20 miles of the Wausau/Schofield area.

This event is looking bigger than they had hoped, up over 200 in attendance. Should be a fun time, but looks to be Cummins dominated as not much response on the Ford and GM sites.

Will see you all there...

I dont know if I will dyno or not. If I do, it will be injectors only. But, I doubt that the clutch will hold them. I am sure these alone are more than my last injector/box combo. :D :D

Thanks a ton Aron, you are the KING!!!!;) ;)

can anybody tell me for sure if we can run our own trucks?i will NOT let anybody touch my truck. i would love to make it but im not going to drive 6 hours to be told that somebody else has to run my truck. ive dynoed my truck several times & i know how easy it is to mess up especialy with 600 horse & a nitrous & lock up switch to control. i just put in my mach 5 edm injectors & would love to see how much i can squeeze out of her with the big nitrous jet. . can you say SMOKE :) sounds like alot of fun. where is the closest motel ?. see ya later. kurt.

Propuller:

I hope you can/will make it. I would love to see the look on Kennedy's face if you put down that kinda horse without drugs.

:cool:

Well, then something's wrong here. I've got the exact same setup, with the exception of the EDM's (and NOS) and only put down 422 sans drugs. Kennedy put down 432. Then I came back on the gas (LPG) and put down 447. Ummm, something's up. Anyone care to take any guesses?

about a month ago i dynoed with dd 3s & put down 440 horse on #2 only then i turned on the nitrous & put down 525 horse with a 110 jet. i now have mach 5 injectors that are rated at 160 horse & they feel ALOT stronger than the 3s (the 3s are only 100 horse)& i also had a set of mega mentals that i just sold that dont make the power that these mach 5s make. if you want to make real power get a set of big edm injectors & you will have some fun:D i ran on another dyno in joliet il & put down 438 horse with the dd3si have not had my truck on a dyno since i insalled the mach 5s. but i did dyno the mega mentals & made 500 horse. these mach 5s are stronger. believe what you want. maybe you got something wrong with your truck. kurt.

Hee hee hee...

Looks as if Kennedy might take another 2nd. Either way, it will be fun, no matter who has high horse. Kurt, it will be good to finally put a face with the name.

Jim

hey jim nice to hear from ya. it looks like im not going to be able to make it i got called out on storm duty this weekend down around the quad citys. there was a bunch of storm damage that were playing catch up on & it sounds like more on the way. :{ :{ . i would love to get together with you guys sometime. give me a holler if ya got anything else goin on later. kurt.
