Hey guys,
Can someone point me to a location in the Austin / San Antonio or Corpus Christi area that has a dyno. My dad has a 2006 4wd dually with auto trans that he is pulling a 36' Montana fifth wheel with. He is very unhappy with the power/torque performance of this 2006 compared to his 2004 3/4 4wd sb qc. This 2006 will not get out of its own way and he feels it is dangerous to use pulling this trailer. Has taken it back to dealer purchased from and they hooked it up to scan for any codes and nothing was present. He had the service guy ride with him and he to admitted it seemed somewhat sluggish but does not know what to look for since no codes were thrown.
I told him he should find a dyno and have it dynoed so as to have some baseline numbers to go at DC or the dealer with especially if they come back low.
He is retired and currently located in Rockport, Texas enjoying the Gulf so if someone could help me point him towards a dyno or has any other suggestions the help is greatly appreciated.
Also his truck right now is bone stock and has been since purchased. He currently has 10,9000 miles on it.
I feel bad for him because I kind of pushed him towards getting the dually for safer towing of the new fifth wheel now that he is retired and full time rv'ing. I also have a new 2006 3500 SRW 4x4 QC and mine is running great right now with 5500 miles on odometer. Knock on wood.
Thanks,
James
