For the Record here be the numbers I've turned in two trips to the dyno.

To save digging through the sig, the full details are disclosed here.

All runs on late model Mustang Dynamometer, 600 feet elevation, 90-odd degrees, high humidity.

My truck is 2000 ETC with 6-speed, 3. 54- all runs in 5th. Common to all runs is 5-inch exhaust, stock HX-35, BHAF, SBC OFE. Changes as noted.

Back in June:

#1 Stock, 210/454

#2 DDUFM on 5x5, 343/799

Wildcat Maximum Flow Kit and DD3's installed-

Today:

#3 DD3's only 296/621

#4 DD3's 3x5 388/851

#5 DD3's 5x5 415/952

Torquey little sucker ain't it?Oo.

Also, Jay ran his stock '99 three times and got 220/440 consistently.

Comments and Questions welcome.

Nice!:)

How are your egts with that setup and stock turbo?

Anybody have some numbers for DDIIs and a comp/DDUFM to compare with?

I would like to know the difference between DDIIs/comp and DDIIIs/comp.

stock turbo

EGT's are fine for top-gear bursts of acceleration and dyno runs. About the time I hit 100, the pyro is swinging past 1400 and I lift.

0-60 or quarter-mile--too hot. I did a 30 mph roll-on yesterday and had to feather 5th and 6th for temps and was out of it at 95. Some folks will push the EGT's further, but I KNOW the turbo is small and choose to lift at 1450-1500.

A larger turbo has always been the plan here. I just haven't bought one yet. Cool air system, traction bars, and more are still to come.

About 25hp on the dd2/UFM vs dd3/UFM, both with hx40. --from the configurator!

My HP number is 60 less than the configurator because I don't have the proper turbo.

DD2's, comp, PDR HX40

On 5 X 5, on a mustang dyno, 411. 9hp. TnT motorsports here in Houston didn't have an optical pickup for RPM's so I didn't get a torque number.

I'm on the fence

Most days I think I'll go with the Pius-built Schwitzer. It's H2E sized, but better quality than Holset--requires a bit of fab work.

Other days I consider slapping a 40 under there for simplicity.

I think the larger turbo will give me better peace of mind--and something a little different from your average CTD bomber! (like any of us are AVG!:p)

KSB1, just a tad pricey for me at this time.

YES, and I know there are PLENTY of good 40's out there. But it only takes ONE bad one to foul up your day.
