A local place in Madison is havin a dyno day "car performance shop" 2 pulls for 30 bucks... . Not bad i say... So i call them up and ask if they can dyno a dually, say sure no prob, u just can't get a tourqe readin cause u have no tach singnal availible... . i was like ok? So is there a way he can get a tach readin or what? i imagine he's talkin about a wire that attaches to the coil lead... . is there any place eles they can hook that up? and if not, how do they dyno other trucks?

Most dynos use optical pickups with a piece of white or reflective tape on the crank damper to get an RPM signal on a diesel. This engine speed pickup is, I believe, an optional accessory for the Dynojet inertial dynamometer.
