At the risk of asking a stupid Question and offending some of the old timers

with one of my Newbee Questions, I apologize in advance. I live in Juneau AK. and there are no Dynos around here, So while I was in Bellingham WA I stumbled Across A place out towards lynden CAlled Meridian Performance Services 1 360 398 2353, They were a bunch of very nice guys and dropped what they were doing in order to get me up on the Dyno and do a few runs, I mean they moved cars that they were working on and I had the attention of 4 guys who strapped my truck to dyno and did 3 runs in 40 mins. A great bunch of guys one of them is A CTD owner and has now learned of TDR from me. well anyways after the run I felt that the Hp was A little low I know I know we All feel that our trucks put out more HP than reality So I ask the wisdom of the TDR for their advice once again

The AVG hp was 279 and the AVG TQ was 612

I am not Bombed very heavily

edge Comp set on 5

Transmission up grades, billett TQ CONV lock ups at 45mph

4 inch EXH and down pipe and elbow

the overdrive was turned off

no air intake up grades yet

I can Bury the boost gauge very quick past 35 lbs

and it does not smoke very rarely even under heavy load

so what do you guys think??

thank you in advance

Usually autos are run in overdrive with the converter locked. Those numbers are low.

Could be a couple of things:

Converter not locked... .....

Comp not correctly hooked up (not getting 12 volts from the pump)

not enough air

not enough fuel (LP pressure)

Possible other issues. Worst case. I had a problem with my VP44. I would always be 25 - 60 HP less the others with similar trucks and mods. Tunred out, my issue was the VP44. It ran fine, but didn't flow enought.

HTH

The dyno numbers down below in my sig were with only a Comp - obviously, a 6-speed transmission instead of an automatic. Your numbers do seem a bit low as compared to results on similar setups I've seen posted here.
