So what the going rate for a dyno run? Assuming I'm not in line at dyno days. Local shop want $125. About right or what?

Anyone ever try one of those G-Tek performance meters? ( the pocket dyno )

Seems like if its fairly close and consistent from run to run, then for the same money ya can do it when ever you like. See if washing my truck really does add 5 more HP #ad

Any comments??

Sly, I picked up a G-tech to use as a meter for future bombing. I have not had the chance to get my truck on the scales yet but will soon. If you do a search on the G-tech, you'll find some useful info. Sorry I can't provide you with more data. I will also be finally getting my truck on a dyno in May, so I'll have atleast something to compare the G-tech readings to. From what I've read here, the G-tech is very reliant on proper placement within the vehicle and an accurate weight of your truck is a must. $125. 00 for a dyno run sounds about right, again, going from what I've read on the TDR, not personal experience.

I have one... you can borrow it anytime, or I can bring it to dyno days for you and others to play with. Weigh your truck!

Slybones, if you want to run on a dyno, there is one in Tacoma at Turbo Technologies. They charge $35 for hookup and one run, then if you want additional time, it's at the shop rate ($65-$75 an hour or so). I have not been there so can't tell you how good their dyno is but its a Mustang or Dynojet, don't remember. If my computer wasn't so slow I'd dig up the phone number for ya.

Up my way there is a shop that charges $50 for 2 or 3 runs depending on consistency. From what I understand this is very reasonable.

CCahill,

I would e-mail you the instructions if they were only a couple of lines but mine came with a booklet that describes each function (beyond my typing skills).
Go to http://www.gtechpro.com or call them at 310 826 0700 and ask for an instruction booklet.

CCahill,

if you still need the instruction booklet, I've got it all scanned and ready to email from home. Just send me email to the address on my post here and I'll send it right out.
