What are you guys finding out on the dyno with the smarty? Gonna run my truck hopefully soon and I'm looking for the best settings:) I know that generally the 5x4 setting is the best but what about the smarty?

Guys have said that the Smarty actually dropped the numbers by around 20-30hp, but the posts that I've read... . everyone ran SW8 & 5x5. I honestly feel a difference in my truck on SW2 & 5x4. I would be willing to bet that SW2 will add power on the dyno. I can just feel the difference in my truck on SW2... . way better than SW8.

that's good to know. I think I only get two runs so I have to make them good. I've heard that it hurts your numbers, but hard to believe when it feels so damn good on the street:confused:

Use 5X4 on the comp and no smarty. This will yeild max HP.....

I thought the Smarty SW#8/9 programming as supposedly pretty much the same as the older CaTCHER ECM setup - and THAT setup seemed to add another 35 HP or so to what the Comp would do at it's best - is the Smarty top level programming different than the CaTCHER was - or is my mind fading again...

I have had mine on the dyno several times, since i have ready access to Floor It Diesel Dyno Dynamics just about when ever I want it. I have never gained more than 27 HP with smarty. That was with SW9 and comp on 5/5. I have probably got about 20 runs so far and have never lost HP with my smarty on. Where the major gain is, is in the power band. On SW8 mine comes 125 RPMS faster than on stock. With it on SW9 it comes on 185 RPMS faster than stock, with both my over all power band expanded a between 250-300 RPMS respectively. (those are both with comp on 5/5). I am going to start testing the truck now that i have a juice w/ attitude installed.

Thanks Russell - that's pretty much the way I remembered it from the "CaTCHER wars" a couple of years back... :-laf :-laf

So. . if I run the smarty on 8 then comp on 5x5? Last time I dynoed it was impressive on 5x4 but that was before the smarty. SO many options:-laf
