Competition DHRA Division 1 Race on October 12th

Well, I finally got to dyno my truck. This is the first time I've been on a dyno. I wasn't sure what gear to use. I made 446 hp and 1211 tq. The tq seems high for just 446 hp. Does this sound right? I'm not really looking for the big #. I want the correct one. It was on a Dyno Jet double roller. It made 345 hp and 940 tq with the chip off. I've only got BD 3 injectors. Those seemed like pretty good #'s for just the injectors. I am running twins(HX-35, HT3B). Is that where the tq #'s came from. A little better than I expected. By the way, what gear is 1:1 in a 6 spd? Where do you get the rpm reading? 12 valve? 24 valve? Thanks in advance for your time.

1 to 1 in a 6spd in in 5th gear. Usually the TQ reading is obtained by a piece of reflective tape on the harmonic balencer and an optical eye below it, on a dynojet anyway. I dont know why your TQ reading was so high because one of my trucks dynoed 488 and 974 with a single hx40, bd3's, and edge comp. I would say it's either the twins or a better fueling program in the comp.

Numbers sound about right. A set of our 3's in an ETH with a HX40 usually makes about 350hp/700tq with no box. The box should add around 100hp on an ETH. With twins, perhaps a little more.

The torque value can be off if the "degrees between plug fires" setting for the RPM on the dyno was off. Were you there to watch the tach on the dyno? Was it jiving with your trucks' tach? If not, that's where the error is.

1:1 is 5th in the 6spd, as mentioned above. We usually see better numbers in 5th up to about 425hp, then better number in 6th above 425hp.
