EGT and boost guage question

Went and dynode Monday just wondering what I should be at with a PM3. Made three runs 294,294. 3 and 294. 5 SAE hp. What boost do most of you make with a PM3 only? What is the difference between SAE hp and standard Hp? Does anyone know the hp difference between the PM3 and the PM3 comp? Is it worth the 100$ to reprogram it?



I have been using a G-tech. Compared to the dyno it was about 13 hp off on my pick up. My friend was within 2 hp of the dyno reading. I was really impressed at how close his was to the dyno. I think we were off on the weight thats why the difference.



Really hoping to break 300hp, injectors or going on my Christmas list. :D :D

Justin, Where did you find to run your truck on the dyno. I know you are in the Waco area. We haven't found a dyno that we could all run on. We would like to set up a dyno day or something sometime if we could find a machine that we could use. .

Looks like good numbers from the dyno...

(Rode in Cord's truck a few weeks ago... WOW!!. . I can't wait to see it with the other pump on it... )
 
Cord, Chris and I all went to Houston to a performance shop. I live in College Station for now I’m fixing to move back in the Waco area in a few weeks. Cant wait until Sunday That’s if every one is still going to meet.

Justin, looks like someone in Houston needs to set up a Dyno Day. I am planning on making the meeting when ever it is. . either this Sunday or next. . (I think we are leaning toward next, have to talk to John, Deezul1, to find out for sure. ) I'll have to take the G-tech for a spin, in my stock truck to get a starting Number. I pass last weekend, but won't next time. Glad to hear that it is that accurate.

those are about what I made with just the PM3 and 4"exhaust

you also asked about boost. I can flash up 40PSI and hold 36PSI

now. before I added th BUlly Dogs (4's) i could flash up 35 and hold 30-31PSI



anything over 35PSI on a stock HX35 is just spinning your wheels anyway. your wont make any more HP just more noise and EGT's. IMO



standard HP is what the local machine registered.

SAE HP is corrected to a uniform standard that exists on all machines. about 1% difference between the two is normal.
