If you can call it that... Palomar College Diesel Technologies' old Clayton big rig dyno. Only measures horsepower, and only up to 400. A guy with a 6. 0 power-stroke gets on it before me, stock tune, intake, 4" exhaust... bury's the needle to over 400hp. ya right.

While he's going through this process i'm talking to another arrogant, I mean ignorant, I mean Ford guy:rolleyes:, and he proceeds to tell me Ford owns Cummins... four other people agreed with him:eek:. As hard as I tried I couldn't talk him out of it, so I just left it alone.

We put my truck on, I bury the dyno needle at 20psi. Sad part is everyone thought the dyno was accurate... including the guy with the 6. 0.

I got the last laugh though, he was having some issues with his truck after he made his last run. I left with the comment... "Ask Ford, maybe they'll swap it for a Cummins!"

turns out that 6. 0 ford has some oil leaking into the intercooler from the compressor side of the turbo, guys been driving it like that for about 3 or 4 months:eek: You can see that the oil has been sitting in there for a while, and its coated his intercooler boots.

That's gotta be good for at least 100HP:-laf

That is very common with the 6. 0 and their closed crankcase vent system. They have a L of a time keeping there hoses in place because of the oiling.
