Jeff Garmon at Garmon's Diesel Performance put a triploc TC and a valve body on my transmission and installed the TST module. I have a 2004 with the 305/555 motor.



Dave Dunbar of Diesel Performance Motorsports brought his mobile dyno and we did a few runs.



I have an AFE, but everything else is stock.



Baseline stock: HP 258. 9 Torque 496. 2

Setting 7/7 HP 454. 4 Torque 829. 1



Been driving in 5/5 mostly. Drove a bit in 7/7. EGTs get up there quick.



When the TC locks in around 80 MPH, this baby rocks... . and gets hot.
 
Sweet. I feel like and old geezer harping on the kids to be careful -- but geesh; at those power levels stuff will break. Not that I don't like it!!!!!! Just be warned! You can make those numbers -- doesn't mean it's the _right_ thing to do ;) Be happy knowing it's there for when you get all the other stuff upgraded to back it up! Oo.



OK; enough preaching; bump it to 9 and let us know how long it holds together! :D :D
 
I have been driving around using a 7/5 setting. Very little WOT. Very little black smoke.



Boost gauge went as high as 39 but drops within a microsecond to lower levels.



Easy in - easy out of the throttle will preserve the turbo. EGTs get high but only during acceleration. In 7/5 at 80 MPH, the EGTs are around 800.



I will probably cut it back to a 4/4 or 5/5 for everyday with 3/3 or less for towing.
