Competition Tire pressure for drag racing

I went to the Suncoast open house today and here are my results:

All runs are with the VA on 100%

TST level 5/5= 457hp/1002. 3 tq. slight smoke :D

level 7/7= 430. 1hp/ 900 tq. Moderately smokey :)

level 9/9= 398. 9hp/ 894. 6 tq. Day into Night :{

These numbers lead me to believe I am running the rail pressure down pretty bad on everything above 5/5. Time for a modded CP3 I think!

Suncoast

I went to suncoast too,I ended up with 356 horsepower, 700 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels. Tripledog from bullydog, no kitty, tru-flo foam filter, gutted turbo silencer. I am a bit disappointed!!! 2005 3500 drw auto 3:73's, 4x4, hardly any smoke whatsoever...

more is better if you have the mods to support it! Gotta start saving my money for a Modded CP3 and I should be close(over) my goals!

BBowers.

your #'s aren't too bad, you have to remember the stock power ratings are @ the flywheel. Most of the stock 600's I saw there last year ran between 270-280 @ the wheels

I believe with stock injectors running the tst on the upper levels the duration is hurting hp more than lowered rail pressure. If the fuel is injected too late it won't make hp. Just more heat. We need to add timing when we add more fuel. I hope to be able to do that soon and see what happens.

I can turn the pressure box off on my truck and make the highest hp on 9/9!

With the VA on 100% level 6/6 is max!

TST alone on level 9/9 makes arround 495hp.

A few weeks ago with tst on 5/5 and va 100% 508hp/970tq. with a nice curve.

Tst 6/6 va 100% 519hp and tst 7/7 va 100% hp took a dip.

I could not run level 6/6 and va 100% on the strip. High EGTs.

5/5 and va 100% 13. 39ET/1400*F.

I also have the tone ring mod done so my timing is a little more advanced than others. I don't quite have enough turbo either.
