I'm posting this for a friend of a friend who is not a member (yet?!).

Does anyone have any experience with Dynomat hoodliners? He apparently is looking to reduce the sound of his '01 HO. I'm fully aware of the recent noise reduction threads. I've searched for info on this specific item but didn't get any hits. Can someone chime in with info or a link to some?

Thanks,

-Jay

Chipstien,

The question wasn't so much as where to get it, but rather it's effectiveness on quieting the engine noise.

Sorry if my question was ambiguous.

Thanks,

-Jay

Yeah - I am sorta curious as to how effective it might be too - the stock underhood mat really doesn't seem to cover all that well, and something that covered a larger area might be useful, if it was effective - but so far, based on FAR more involved noise reduction efforts others have done, I sorta doubt better hood insulation alone will be very effective - sure would like to see some before/after DB readings... If I can come up with some of the appropriate stuff locally, I plan to give it a try just for kicks...

Saw just this item last night on a CTD. Covered the hood better than the DC one, hood stayed up fine. Got it at a local store, Frys Electronics.

I'd like to know a little more about it since the darn mice decided to munch on my OEM one a little bit. I guess the block heater made under the hood a nice place for them to hang out  They must be big because the little flap style mouse traps can't catch them

JGK, I used the Dynamat "hoodliner" to insulate the back wall of my Quad Cab. I applied that over TWO layers of Dynamat "Xtreme. "

I know one thing...

it sure quieted down the noise in the cab!

Sorry, I can't help you with the Dynamat "Hoodliner" at its intended installation location.

BTW, I just ordered another 9 sheets of Dynamat "Xtreme" and "Extreme Liner" from www.thezeb.com for a screamin' deal! :D

Oops! I updated the link. Sorry

John you were right that is one screaming deal on that stuff. Just last night I ordered some brown bread from b quiet. Wasn't sure I ordered enough. Well I am pretty sure now as I ordered a bulk pack of that dynamat extreme from Zeb. Never seen the price anywhere near that low before anywhere. Does Zeb have prices like that all the time?

I'm not sure if Zeb has prices like that all the time or not although, they state they WILL NOT be undersold on Dynamat products.

I just found that site surfing places with the keyword being Dynamat. Heck, I'd paid full bore for all my other Dynamat purchases through Summit Racing and Jeg's... and that was one heck of a lot of money!

All I really need to address now is my Quad doors and the oil pan.
