Is there anyway the e-brake will work below 25mph. Like if you are going real slow off of a mountain. Had sticks before so there was no problem just got the 06 last week and got the auto. I think I might have messed up. Had the dealer do the install on this one. 1392. oo total cost. 1st gear below 25 no e-brake. Other than that love the truck. Its my 4th one 98 01 03 06

even if you change the wiring the transmission will not lock in 1st gear second through od only... not much braking under 25 anyhow... not enough RPM

If got a real simple relay connected to a foot switch that will keep the convertor locked until the engine stalls or I hit the brake to release it. I can't remember too many situations wanting the convertor locked that slow.

If the e-brake would engage below 25MPH, and the converter didn't lock, you'd burn up your transmission on only a few downhill runs.

The brake is controlled by the ecm... ..... if you add your own switch it will stay engaged as long as you want :D

I realize your talking auto. On my 03 with a 6 speed, once I arm the ebrake, let off on the fuel pedal for 2 seconds and the ebrake comes on, and will remain on even at idle.

Jacobs Ebrake, dealer installed.
