That rattle from the shifter mounted e-brake switch is starting to get to me. Does anyone have a fix for it besides the rubber band. I've already tried glueing it. Thanks.

Switch mount...

I made up my own switch and used a narrow strip of velcro on the shifter and the switch. A couple wire ties keeps it in place. The pieces of velcro came with adhesive on them. :) :) I can E-Mail a picture if you like... .

Keith, I think most of the BD switches have the rattle problem. The way I fixed mine was to take one correctly sized 'O' ring, make one cut and put it under the plastic knob. Some O rings are thicker than others so you may have to try 2 rings if it still rattles.

If it isn't too much trouble, could you post the solution on the forum? I have a BD switch sitting in the box waiting to be installed, but I was waiting until I could take care of the rattling problem before I did it.

Thanks,

Rusty

Pretty simple take the switch apart bore the old bushing out make one about 1/2 in long 1/4 dia press it in and no more rattle. Also open the hole where it goes into the switch body so it doesn't rattle there either.
