E knob exhaust brake switch.

I acquired an E knob e brake switch, but no wiring diagram. I have a Jacobs exhaust brake, but I can not seem to find my original owners manual. The Jacobs switch is a 3 wire unit, but the new switch has only2 wires. Ca anyone help?

Not sure this will help, but this is the diagram for my 2001. This is how (what I call) the master switch that came with the E-brake is hooked up. For my gear shift mounted switch, I just spliced into the black wire that goes to the ECM so that I can easily enable/disable the Ebrake. Maybe they are similar.

one wire to ground the other one to pin 39 of the ecm

May I assume then, the 12 volt pos is only for the indicator light in the switch?

Thanks for the help. I suspected this was the case, but I hesitated to fool with the ECM wiring without being sure. One mistake could be spendy as well as inconvenient, as I use my truck for work.
