2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission E rated tires

Who makes and sells E rated tires in 285/75/16? All I can find are D rated.

Don't know of anyone that does. I looked around for them too, but never found any. I did find that the 285/75-R16D were rated at 3305 pounds while the 265/75-R16E were rated at 3415 pounds. That's only 110 pounds difference per tire, which in most cases won't make much of a difference.

I've never found any in that size that were "E-rated"... but I have found close to it as terry stated... .



the highest I've seen are the super swamper Trxus MT's, belive it or not... .



the 285/75-16 tire has a rating of 3745 pounds, a 10-ply side wall, and a max inflation of 80psi...



but anything that says "super swamper" on the sidewall isn't going to last long on a truck that weighs as much as a CTD one does...

I believe the M55 TOYOS are E rated in that size. I have pretty much decided that they willbe my next tire

Who sells the Toyo M55's. I have BFG now and they are good but I would like an E or 10 ply rated tire.

As suggested by JKinney, the Toyo M55 Spec Sheet shows load range E for their LT285/75R16.

i got maxxis bravo 753 and they are d range but they are very high range and can take 80 psi with 10 ply sidewall.

Kelly tire also makes an "E"rated tire in that size. But they look more like a street tire than an all terrain.

Next tires will be Toyo Open Country M/t's. They offer a 285/75/16 that is a 33 inch tire with E-load. The 1010tire place offers them for $200 a piece. I do not like the Nittos that I have on now. They wander & follow road crown so bad. Not wearing well either.

If you were willing to go to a 265 tire, Copper tires have several tires in a "E" load range. In a 285 tire they are load range "D", but the load rating is only 130 lbs. less than the the load range "E" tires.

I bought mine at BJ's Wholesale club. Always had good luck with the tires and service.
