Have some more E-Track on the way, my guys sold all that I had on hand. Good for the company, not so good for me.....:D

So am listening to the voices in my head argue over the height, I am stuck between 30" and 36" off the floor. I like to be able to strap plywood, sheetrock, etc. to the wall standing on edge.

What am I not thinking of?? Interior height of trailer is about 7'.

Mike.

We have a few Isuzu box trucks at work for deliveries that have the e-track in them. We have found that running two rows works better for us. One down around 24 inches and the other up around the 48 inch level. That way we can secure smaller/shorter things on the lower one, taller things on the higher one or both depending on what it is we are securing. Just something to think about. If I only had one row it would depend on what I was most often going to secure but would probably opt for the 36 you may already have some tie downs on the floor in the trailer and if not you could add a few probably for cheaper than a second row of e track to take care of the shorter stuff.

Thanks Barry!

We have double rows in my trucks, and in one case a third row.

I believe those are the same or very close to yours, 2',4' and 6'.

Doubles are great, you can take two straps or logistic bars, pallets or plywood and build a separation wall. I have also built additional flat storage over existing cargo using logistic bars and plywood.

For some reason I am really having a hard time deciding between the two heights. I'll have to down a couple shots of Crown Royal and just go make the first hole.......:D

May go with 36" all the way and put a couple of short pieces low to the floor up front so I can wall off the front "V" of the trailer. That will be done after the 3rd shot.....

Hard to have a one-size-fits-all for mixed loads. I'd be inclined to go 3' for stability of taller items. Maybe one or two vertical runs from that 3' level down to the floor at strategic points, depending on the structure to fasten to?
