E-Z install question

In the future I am going to be helping a friend install his E-Z on his out of warantee truck and have a question from when I was reading the instructions. The pump wire that has to be connected, what is it ? I guess it is a data link + or - . Am I right?

If it's a 3 level Power Edge box(not the EZ box), yes he has to tap a VP44 wire. If you look down from the top of the VP44, there are two black wires. You need to tap the inside (closest to the block) wire for the box. The other connection is made at the Map sensor.



The EZ plugs into the data plug and the Map.
