Early Maintenance?

Just past the 2000 mile mark and boy do I love this truck. Anything I should be on the lookout for in it's early life? When should I do the first oil change? (I know what the BOOK says, but what do you guys do?) Anything else I should do early on? Thanks guys.

I would do the first oil change now or withing the next 500 miles. Don't go back with synthetics till after 10K miles. It's also a good time to go in and snug up all your intake system clamps and if you have a torque wrench check the torque on the intake manifold and exhaust manifold bolts. Check for leaks on the transmission and engine. Other than that you should be good to go.

I'd grease the front end - 3 fittings. I think the 2 uppers at the wheels were dry from the factory.
