NorCal Dyno Event

Tri-Valley Performance is happy to announce our Grand Opening Dyno Day happening Saturday, November 17th from 10am-4pm.

Come on down and check it out! Put your rig on the rollers for just $85 for 3 runs, food and a T-shirt!

Please RSVP on norcaldieselforum.com or post here so we have an accurate headcount.

See you all there!!

ive never dynoed my truck before. ive been holding out for a legit dyno for diesel trucks. is this it? do these guys know how to dyno a diesel truck to where i will get a true accurate read? if so, id most definitely like to go.

We currently have a Dynojet 224x. We have been getting decent #'s out of it, but we know we need a load dyno. Soooo... We just ordered the Load Unit from Dynojet, should be here in a couple of weeks.

In the meantime, the dyno day is still on, and anyone who dyno's this weekend will get another session for free at our next dyno day (with the load unit) It will be cool to see the comparisons.

Will Your dyno fit a dually on it? Will you have food? How many trucks do you expect to be there? How many diesels have you dynoed before? Will we run are own trucks on the dyno our will you?

A dually will physically fit, but the outer wheels hang off, which has always seemed dicey to me. We normally just take them off and then back 'em in.

We will be BBQing up some burgers and dogs, etc. Right now it looks like 2-3 dozen trucks are coming, I would expect to dyno about 8-10 trucks.

If your truck has "special needs" and you are proficient at dynoing (talk to us when you get here) then you can run it.

QUICK UPDATE!

Due to a suprising amount of demand, we went ahead and ordered the Load Unit for the Dynojet. It won't be here for this weekend, but anyone who comes out and pays for a dyno this weekend will get a free session at the next event on the Load Dyno. I am anxious to see the differences.

So come on out and tell your friends!

Thanks!

Hey Eric, are you able to dyno more than the 10-12 trucks you told me you could do? I'd love to make it but don't want to drive up and be number 13.

Prize Announcement!

OK, here goes!

We are going to be offering some prizes for the dyno day as an additional incentive to get on the rollers and show us what you got!

Highest HP/TQ (we'll take the most impressive overall): $100 service certificate

Cleanest Rig: $50 service certificate

Most Tricked Out Rig: $50 service certificate (you gotta convince us!!)

Completely Random Prize: $50 service certificate (Put your name/info in the hat, win some bux)

The day went REALLY well! We had some very nice trucks, and all you other TDR fanatics scared off all the Chevys and Fords! We had one Ford run (other than the two that the shop has) and two Chevys, but the parking lot was full o' Rams. Both trucks that came down from Martinez (WinSpeed Diesel) ran at over 1000 lb/ft and one hit 650+ HP.

We did learn that our exhaust system is hopelessly inadequate, so we'll be re-engineering as part of the Load Unit install.

Cleanest Truck and Trickest Truck also went to Dodges.

As soon as we get the new bits together, we'll schedule a shootout. See you all soon!

to all the TVP crew- you guys put on a great event. super cool people and i believe Rich was the name of the guy who did a awesome job running the trucks on the dyno. he even gained over 100 hp on a duramax just by pulling the owner out of the truck while on the dyno(Rich got in and ran the truck). :-laf

once again guys great event, great crew and good food. i plan on being there in a few weeks for the next one. also a thumbs up for the winspeed crew. they were very open to share a lot of there knowledge about our trucks and it was cool to see one of their trucks (24v) hit 674hp on the dyno.

Hey guys, I just want to take this opportunity to thank everyone there at Try-Valley Performance for a great day of food, friends, horsepower, and yes some diesel smoke.

This was my first dyno pull(it won't be my last) and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Lots of friendly people, beautiful sunny day,and a large parking lot full of HOTROD DIESELS. Oh yes, thanks again everyone for the most "Tricked out truck award". If I had thought it was going to get that much attention I would have surely cleaned it up a little better. I'll put the $50 AWARD to good use.

When I left my understanding was you'll be putting on an even bigger and better event soon, so I'll be looking forward to that.

Maybe by then I'll have my new SBC clutch in, and I'll do my turn on the dyno.

If not before,I'll see you then.

Thanks,Ray

I'll be there for sure for the next one...

I can also bring some 48" air movers to clear out the shop a little quicker...

(It sure is frustrating having a stock truck on a dyno day... Miss the '03 a LOT)
