Ebay has great stuff

I bought a compressor rotor blade from a CFM-56 Turbofan engine for $20 (CFM is a joint GE/Snecma (France) company). Received it a few days ago. Bout 6 inches long, dovetail base, supposedly from the 4th stage low pressure compressor. Not sure if it's new or used, but it's made from titanium, and kind of a cool coffee table piece. If it is a 4th stage booster rotor, then it's probably from the CFM56-5C.

Now, if I had a few grand lying around I would buy a complete turbine engine.
