Serial Killer Quiz

I have been cheated on at least half my purchaces and there in no contactus button that I have found. Alot of the CROOKED sellers leave ebay before you could even leave feed back letalone take an action against them.

Strange - I've been using it on and off for the past 7 years and only once did I have any problems whatsoever - and even that was fixed eventually. I can honestly say I've never been ripped off - but I do make sure I watch seller feedback carefully and go into every transaction with a close eye on my expectations, so as not to be disappointed.

I'm curious - what sorts of transactions are we talking about here? Truck parts, hobby collectibles, what?

I have bought several items, some small, some more expensive, like cameras, and other optics, and never had a bad experience. Like loncray above, I watch the sellers feedback and look into other items they are selling, as well. I would hesitate to buy a large cost item from someone that doesn't have a good history with the site, though. I have contacted ebay about broken links, and other things with the site, and gotten prompt feedback.

I have had very good success with Ebay since 1999. I have bought and sold about 100 items with very little problems. My last purchase was the Leer top in my signature. Saved about $1000 and the guy was 10 minutes from my house.

I do like loncray said, check out their feedback, and try to get a good feel for the seller before bidding.

I have had very good results with e-bay as well. One tip is that 100% positive feedback... on 3 deals does not mean the same thing as 100% feedback on a lot of deals. Another thing I have done is contact the seller and set up a phone call.

I both buy and sell on eBay. Bought two motorcycles, generator, and lots of smaller stuff.

I've sold wheels, race tickets, and even my Lance truck camper.

Communciate with the seller or buyer.

I don't see much difference with eBay and the TDR classifieds. I've bought two sets of wheels and tires via TDR classifieds, and sold items there as well. Communication makes the difference.

Being the honest, upstanding, moral person that I am also helps!!!!

Okay- My success record is 1 for 2. Todays failure was some clown in Ca. selling a set of H2 takeoffs for 150$. He claimed no shipping, must pickup.

We spoke on the phone yesterday, didnt sound like a business, it sounded like a 12 year old, and admitted it was a home #, not a business. I told him I would take'm and have a friend I have on the left coast swing by with the cash. He even had a fifth, and we dealt to 175$ for all 5.

I get home from work today... . wifey tells me some unintelligable kid is on the machine asking for more money for something.

After deciphering the message, the price has gone up. I called my friend, told him to forget it. I wont bother to call the punk on the phone, not worth the effort. I am glad I got a cheap lesson about Ebay tactics. ( Man -I had to vent that)

I've only been burned once and that was on a $10 movie poster so I wasn't that upset.

My dad bid on and won a mid 60's model Honda motorcycle from some guy in California. After he sent him the money the guy e-mailed him that there was some damage the he didn't know about and couldn't in "good faith" sell him the bike. He said he was going to get it fixed and rel-list it. He sent the money back (I'm surprised), but he wouldn't tell us when it would be relisted. I have a feeling that someone e-mailed him after the bidding was over and offered him more money.
