Ebay Scam?

I have been looking at Sailboats on Ebay and noticed several where the seller says "I am selling this for a church youth group".



In fact I think I have noticed this far too often, almost like there is some kind of scam going on.



It has all the signs of a scam, No reserve, using the church youth group line to lower your guard believing you can trust the person. Everyone wants several $$$ within 24 hours (most of these boats are 1000 miles away where you don't get a chance to see it within 24 hours).



Anybody heard of a scam down this line?

Today my uncle told me a guy sent his friend FAKE money... Ebay has become too big and is just full of scams. I called paypal and told them to cancel everything i have with them... . Its rediculus.



I know this doesnt have much to do with your situation but i think these all go in the same boat.

I've seen snowmobiles and 4 wheelers on there that are priced (buy it now) WAY too cheap to be true and they'll even say free shipping. They almost always never sell, you go to view them one day and they're invalid or pending. I emailed a couple of guys that supposebly had the listings and they said that they didn't even have them listed and that somebody had hacked into their account and placed the ad. I dunno. I buy a lot of stuff off of ebay, but if you feel something is up, I'd stay away from it. I bet that's a scam just like the sleds are. They get your down payment and ya never hear from them again.
