When I have the switch in the OFF position, it rattles. Gets much worse when the engine is up around 2k rpm. Drives me absolutely bonkers  Fortunately I drive with it on almost all the time, so far. But come wintertime it'll be necessary to shut it off in the snow.

Anyone else have this issue? Is there a way to fix it? It looks like the unit is sealed :( Maybe I'll see if I can get a new one under warranty

Don't know how to fix it, but you just changed my mind on getting one. I have the Napa switch and it rattles too. I was gonna try the stock one, but not now. :(

put a rubber band around the shifter and around the knob to hold the switch laterally towards the shifter. I use one of the thin hair bands and it takes care of it no problem and is hardly noticable.

yeah, mine does it also... . only on the on position. i know a rubber band would fix it, but i have yet to do it. l... dunno why not. mine is ALWAYS on. unless its raining out. cali highways and the start of rain. . ohh, bad deal with e-brake.

I use a 0-ring that is just big enough to stretch over the shifter knob and around the switch. The 0-ring is black so it is not as noticeable and it lasts longer than a rubber band. It seems that they all rattle. I had a switch from a 2 speed axle on my last truck and it rattled too. At least we have enough power to make things rattle!

I have the BD switch, like a splitter switch and it used to rattle. The rubber bands around here dry up and fall apart. I put a dab of grease on the shaft and it fixed it right up. I have to put on a new dab about every time I change oil and grease the chassis anyway. Just use a little, enough to tighten up the seal. This is by far the best fix I've tried.

Thanks for the advice :D I'll have a go with the rubber band / o-ring and also try some this spray lube stuff I've got. (kinda like a thick silicone grease) Maybe some of that down in the switch shaft would quiet things down... ... ...
