A buddy of mine told me of a vendor who really came through, and I thought it would be appropriate to let everyone know. Here's his story:
"I found a company that "STANDS BEHIND THEIR WORD"! One night while searching the inner sanctum of Cyberspace, I came upon a very obscure website that had a coupon for a SUBSTANTIAL discount on E-Brakes. Later, during a discussion with the owner of the company, I learned that it was left over from a promotion that ran BRIEFLY in ‘98. Although they no longer have a relationship with the sponsor of the site, the owner Jim Helstrom said, "You found it, we have to HONOR IT! It is our problem that it still exists. "
Let me tell you as an ex-Investigator for Consumer Affairs, City of Seattle, IT DOESN'T USUALLY COME THAT E-A-S-Y. Only if you’re dealing with HONORABLE PEOPLE!!! Jim has two companies, “Western Retarder” in Denver, and also “Diesel Service & Sales” in Salt Lake City. So you folks in the Denver and Salt Lake City areas have a place to GO!
The Pacbrake arrived, drop shipped out of Seattle to save me freight ($6. 82). The PB was $425. 00. I checked the net and the www. goes to sponsor’s home page now! So they were on the up and up on that! I'm sure they DIDN'T MAKE MUCH ON THE SALE, BUT THEY DID IT! A BIG THUMBS UP TO THEM!"
