Guys I have a 2000 dually auto CTD and I rebuilt the truck due to engine bay fire. I had to replace the ECM and got the same part # ECM too except that the truck I pulled ecm was a std shift trans, so I installed it and my truck gave a check engine code which reads pnp swith failure, (I replaced pnp switch too) I have driven the truck 5 k miles with this condition, the truck will start in any gear too! and It usually takes 2 quick breif times to fire up truck in the morning or when its hot after running? it will die when I come to a quick stop so I have to keep accelerator pedel down some when I slow way down!It will also lope bad when i barely give it fuel in reverse too! such as backing up my driveway ! truck runs great other wise, I have tried resetting TPS too with no improved results, I took the truck to 2 dealers and mechs said that they cant reflash my computer ? so can it be reflashed or do I need get another ecm from a automatic truck? Truck runs strong otherwise and gets 20. 1 mpg empty and 17mpg loaded with car on a heavy trailer! I wouldnt care to leave it this way but if my wife ever needs to drive my truck it would be hard for her to drive it like this! or anyone else thats not familiar with it! thanks for reading this post!

It sure sounds like a mis match in the software on your ECM. I don't understand why the dealer can't reflash it. Marco is the man with the most intimate knowledge of different programs. I'm sure he has a CaTCHER program that would fix your problem & hustle you down the road a lot faster to boot.
