I'm new to Dodge-Cummins and turbodiesel engine ownership so please forgive a question which may have been answered and discussed in the past:
Does the typical Dodge dealer have the capability and does the Dodge Ram version of the Cummins ISB permit downloading of all engine operating parameters?
I know that the ISB that Cummins sells for medium truck, school bus, fire truck, or motorhome applications has the full computer and that Cummins dealers can download all the data. I think I have read somewhere that the ISB installed in Dodge Rams does not record the full range of data and/or Dodge dealers do not have the capability to download the full range of operating data.
If the Dodge Ram-Cummins owner suspects that his engine is low on power or fuel economy can a Dodge dealer download data to know fuel flow rates, boost pressure, exhaust temperatures, etc. etc. and other relevant data so that a proper determination and diagnosis can be determined?
All opinions and reports will be appreciated.
