ECM Missing??

Do all 1st Gens have an ECM? If not why and if so where else would it be located other than the driver side innerside of the fender?

Only the 92-93s had PCMs. The 91. 5s had something like a PCM, but still had the old style KSB and grid heater box, along with an external voltage regulator.



The earlier ones didnt have the PCM because it wasnt needed. It wasnt really a positive on the later ones, to be honest. The engines were mechanical up to 12/31/97.

I have done the voltage regulator modification and the OD control switch on my auto truck. Grid heaters could be manual if you were converting a later truck to PCMlessness. The only thing I have to rely on my PCM for is the Cruise control. Rough life I know, but I need that to keep from driving way too fast.
