Might not be a bad investment. I can remember a couple instances where a member needed one.

Does anyone know the difference in the different year model ECMs and if they can be programmed for other years. Have a 98. 5 that needs a new one and wasn't sure if others could be programmed to fit.

From what I can gleen, the '98. 5 is quite different from the '99's. I doubt that it would be of any use. HTH's, Larry

The '99 ECM will work in a 98. 5 truck.
