today a few blocks from home the truck started running really rough,i thought it was bad fuel or water in fuel. i barely made it home and drained the water in the fuel filter. right after the truck started fine but 5 codes came up : p0237/p1652/p0652/p0193/p0341. i thought they were the result of the rough idling and shaking so after it started fine i erased them but one of them stayed. p1652-j1850 comm bus and no bus in the odometer. i did the ohms check between the #28 pin of the rear connector and the negative post and showed 1. 18 kilo ohms which a dodge mechanic said it was bad enough to replace the ecm. the truck starts fine but im working up the hill on a narrow road and dont want to stall coming down or up. is there any other way to check the ecm before i spend the $600 on a new one?thanks!

Where are you getting a new ECM for $600. 00 ?

you might want to go back a bit and read some post I put about my codes and what my indy. mech. told me. In 2-1/2 days of troubleshooting codes 0340,341 & 0483 and he chasing grounds and what not, he "finally determined" it was my ECM because, he DID NOT get a certain code Pxxxx (I forget now which one) returned which when NOT received means BAD ECM.

In my attempts to verify "his work" and not satisfied with my truck now having a bad ECM, I did one last troubleshooting of my own and that's how I discovered "he" ONLY replaced (not needed) the Crankshaft position sensor NOT the camshaft position sensor. I got a new one from Napa, put it in and no more codes at all. Needless to say I was very P. Offed at him and the shop.

On his word, I found a used 05 ECM for $455. 00 which I returned minus my 30% restocking.
