I have 3 electronic engines.
Can I use any ofthe units on my 01 automatic?
1 is from 4x4 2000 model.
The other comes from a uniform teuck engine with allison gear.

I have a spare ECM for my '02 that is out of a truck with A/T, it works fine, but sets a dash light relative to the "missing" A/T - otherwise, it's perfectly usable, and presumably, a dealer could re-flash it for my manual transmission if needed...

Perhaps yours would do the same. Is the 4x4 also A/T? If so, might work without problem...

Is there a way to run the engine on the floor out of the truck? How would i get the ecm to operate the engine. Help

Are you talking about running an engine for a short test, or some sort of a fixed position power source?

Naturally, the engine CAN be operated independently from a vehicle, and DOES in various industrial/commercial applications - generators, pumps and such - but the heavy stand and related hookups for engine cooling and such sorta discourage doing all that merely for a brief test...

I would think you could power up the injection pump and supply it fuel and also supply power to lift pump itll run right?

Pretty questionable, the injection pump requires timing signals from the ECM to function, and the ECM looks for various engine sensors to operate...

cummins has a vp pump tester that powers up the pump via the battery. I sold mine to source many years ago. do a search for vp44 tester
