Just bought a 2001 with 6spd and HO/ ETH engine.

I want to chip it and put in injectors later.

wat is this catcher/ MAD chp and where can it be found. ?

I don't plan on going higher than 350-400HP I do light hauling ( no more than 8k) and do it about 30% of the time.

how do the SUperchip, van aaken, edge EZ, edge comp and others compare to the Catcher/MAD?

The CATCHER (MAD ECM) is a replacement engine control module for your truck. It has been reflashed to provide modified timing and fueling parameters which in turn provide improved responsiveness in all driving/towing conditions. It does not, as the EDGE Comp, TST Powermax, Blue Chip FMS do, add additional fuel by tapping the pump wire. The EDGE EZ is a timing only device, and EDGE Comp also adjusts timing. I believe the Van Aaken is a timing device as well. Somebody else correct me if I am wrong about the Van Aaken.

The CATCHER is one of the absolute best mods you can do to your truck. They cost roughly $500 and are available from Bob Wagner (he is a TDR member): http://www.wagnerandassociates.biz/.

I highly recommend the CATCHER, and there is even a "special" version that would work with a Comp if that is the route you decide to go. The "regular" version of the CATCHER works with the TST and Blue Chip. I would not recommend the Superchip device.
